About the London Dossier

Inspired by Len Deighton’s “London Dossier” book from 1967, Jean-Paul Séculaire launched his London Dossier website in 2001 as an online “alternative guidebook” for the 21st Century.

Aimed at both Londoners and visitors alike, the London Dossier remains an unapologetically personal guide to London’s nightlife, focusing on vintage Black music club nights and other events.

About the author

The London Dossier is written by London-born DJ, promoter, and bon vivant Jean-Paul Séculaire. After leaving London to carry out academic research, he earned a PhD in 2024 and returned to the capital as Dr Séculaire.

As well as restarting the London Dossier, the Doctor plans to relaunch his much-missed RIGHT ON! club night in 2026.
